My Bedrooms
I saw a sign once that said “Bed and Breakfast – two things a man can’t
make”. I thought it was quite funny.
…… anyway ….. at Penvith, all the rooms have
been decorated and furnished to the highest standards. All come as en-suite, and from the homemade cookies on the welcome tray, to the silent fridge, everything is aimed at giving you the best holiday experience we can. All my rooms have the following.
- TV with DVD. I have an extensive and varied DVD library which you are
free to dip in to if you fancy a night in, cannot sleep, or just have an hour
or so to kill.
- Fridge, which includes a pint of fresh milk. You have to provide your own
beer and wine I’m afraid.
- Tea and Coffee making facilities (including fresh ground coffee, hot chocolate, Horlicks etc)
- Hair Dryer
- Fluffy Hand and Bath towels
- Organic, hypoalergenic shampoo, shower gel and hand soap
- Books and Guides and leaflets on local attractions and events.
- Finally, and importantly, the room is yours while you are here. Feel free to come and go as you please. There is no curfew or "stay away during the day" policy here.
More specifically, (click on the pics to enlarge) the rooms are .....
The Seaside Room. This is a very large, sunny double (or twin) room, with a comfortable sitting area and plenty of space to chat or watch tv. There is a walk in wardrobe with loads of hanging space, and a generous bathroom with bath, electric shower over, wc and basin. The view from the windows is of fields and alpacas, and down the valley towards Millendreath and Looe. Please let us know when booking if you want the room set out as a twin room.
Tariff - £40 per person per night, based on two people sharing. Single occupancy - £72 per night.
The Small Barn Room. Part of the main house, but with it’s own entrance. The ceiling has
been opened up to the old beams above. The room has a double bed, sitting area,
and a patio outside. There is a shower room with shower, wc and basin. The views from here are probably the best in the house, looking across open countryside to Looe and the white clay hills of St. Austell twenty miles away.
Tariff - £35 per person per night, based on two people sharing. Single occupancy - £63 per night.
The Hay Barn.
Opening off our breakfast room, another delightful double bedroom, with original beams. There is a dressing room with an antique dresser, and a large shower room complete with party sized shower cubicle.
Tariff - £35 per person per night, based on two people sharing. Single occupancy - £63 per night.
